“Insulation helps keep your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter. There are several common types of insulation, such as fiberglass (in batt, blanket and blown forms), cellulose, rigid foam board and spray foam. Insulation performance is measured by R-value – its ability to resist heat flow. Higher R-values mean more insulating power.”
“SRP recommends minimum insulation levels of R-19 for exterior walls (total wall system) and R-38 for ceilings.”

Stated on the SRP site for the Attic Insulation Rebate. “For insulation to be effective, it must be installed properly in the right locations and be free of gaps, voids and compressions. When combined with sealed air leaks, properly installed insulation provides for more even temperatures throughout the house—resulting in a quieter, more comfortable home. It can also help you save about 10% on cooling and heating costs.*”
Great news, we are an SRP Qualified Home Performance Contractor! We perform the Home Energy Audits and Energy Audit Contract work in house. We prepare, complete and submit all Rebate forms and documentation.
